Concrete Pumps c.c. was started in 1968 by Tore Lilleby, a qualified civil engineer, who still heads the company.

In the first 10 year period, the Company was exclusively involved in the manufacture and marketing of a revolutionary air-operated concrete pump -The SEM Concrete Placer Pump - simple and inexpensive to operate and with a price aproximately 1/10 of the commonly used concrete pumps.  It soon became the market leader in concrete pumps in the local civil, building and mining industries.  Later international export of this equipment followed to selected projects.

In 1985 two important additions were made to the Company's product line.  The first was the incorporation of piston type concrete pumps in the range on offer.  The second was the involvement in a full range of machinery for the production of concrete bricks, concrete blocks and concrete pavers - from inexpensive hand moulds to very large automated plant.

In 1993 the Company entered the field of exporting building materials and general products.

Today the Company is focused on its core business as follows:

• Sale of a full range of concrete pumps, guniting/shotcreting and grouting equipment. In this respect the Company will propose solutions to concrete placing problems, supply the equipment and commission it to see that the end result is successful.
  
  
• Sale of machines that produce concrete bricks, concrete blocks, concrete pavers and concrete roof tiles. For the larger plant the Company will supply a turn-key solution with full recommendations for equipment, sale and commissioning.
  
  
• Export of building materials and general goods.
