Concrete Roof Tile Machinery

MONOTILE MAXI ROOF TILE FACTORY

MAKE YOUR OWN CONCRETE ROOF TILES

Monotile Machine

Hand operated machine - no power required.  Ideal for low cost housing projects and small business ventures.

Use a mixture of sand and cement at a ratio of 3:1.

A concrete mixer can be used if available.  The whole operation can be set up on site, or even in your back yard.

Tiles can be stripped from the mould after 24 hours.  Remove carefully and place into tank of water for a few days (5 to 10 days).

Pigments can be added to colour the tiles or they can be painted afterwards.  If the instructions are adhered to, you can manufacture tiles acceptable to both the SABS and CSIR standards.

Tiles can be produced to include for a 1.6mm wire to be inserted into the mould.  The wire is used to fasten down the front of the tile.

Materials consumed PER TILE (Approximate)
Sand : 2.00 kg Cement : 0.66 kg Water : 0.50 litre

The MONOTILE roof tile machine is capable of producing up to 400 tiles per 9 hour day, although this will be achieved only by experienced workers.  Correct sand grading and water content is critical in achieving this.  Normally it is recommended to blend two different sands to get the correct grading (grain size distribution).

CONCRETE ROOF TILE PLANTS

Large plant for making concrete roof tiles.  The system is founded on the proven technology of the extrusion process of a wet mix of sand and cement between a flow of aluminium pallets and a feeding-shaping head.  Changing the shape of pallets and pertinent head results in a new profile of product.
